HOLI FESTIVAL IN INDIA

HAPPY HOLI FESTIVAL

Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Love, is a Hindu festival celebrated in India and other parts of the world. It usually falls in the month of March and is a celebration of the arrival of spring, the victory of good over evil, and a time to forgive and forget.

The festival is celebrated by people of all ages, genders and social statuses.

It starts the day before Holi with a bonfire called Holika Dahan. People gather around the bonfire to pray for their welfare and to symbolize the victory of good over evil.

On Holi day, people take to the streets and throw colored powders and water at each other. This is accompanied by dancing, music and feasting. The colors used during Holi are traditionally made from natural sources like flowers and herbs, but today synthetic colors are also used.

Holi is a time to forgive and forget past grievances and renew relationships. It's a time to celebrate people's diversity and spread joy and happiness. During Holi, people also visit friends and family, exchange gifts, and enjoy festive food and drink.
